R2Crete strengthens its Board with appointment of Independent Chair Mike Barry

R2Crete is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Barry as Independent Chair of the Board, bringing extensive construction materials, manufacturing, commercial and governance experience to the company as it progresses the commercialisation of its concrete recycling technology.
Mike has more than two decades of senior executive experience, including 10 years with Boral Limited. During his time at Boral, he held senior roles across its Building Products and Construction Materials businesses, with responsibility across concrete and quarry product. Mike is currently Chair of Natbuild, Australia’s leading trade hardware and building supplies buying group. His experience spans large industrial businesses, emerging technology companies, research and innovation organisations, and businesses operating across complex supply chains.
The appointment comes at an important stage for R2Crete as the company moves from research and technology development towards scale-up, industry demonstration and commercial deployment. As Independent Chair, Mike will work with R2Crete’s founders and Board on the company’s strategic direction, governance and commercial development. His direct experience across concrete, construction materials and building supply chains will also provide valuable industry perspective as R2Crete works with concrete producers, recyclers and other industry partners to demonstrate and scale its technology.
R2Crete welcomes Mike to the Board and looks forward to working with him as we continue developing the technology and, importantly, demonstrating its value in real-world concrete recycling and production.
